Being down the road from The Rocklea markets makes all the difference. We have access to the freshest and best right on our doorstep. This is why we’ve become a favourite of the Southside. Our meals are made from scratch, freshly prepared by our chefs daily.
What are we famous for?
Cooking from scratch is what sets us apart. But there are some crowd favourites on our menu…
For some, it’s our hot rock dishes served sizzling, straight from the grill, to your table. Take your pick from a 250g or 500g Rump. A 200g Eye Fillet. A 350g Rib Fillet. Or if you’re feeling particularly hungry, we have a 500g Rib Eye on the Bone. All our steaks are grain fed for 100 days in the New England region of Inverell, NSW. Then aged for a minimum of 28 days, for the best in flavour and mouth-watering tenderness. Served with chips, salad, plus your choice of sauce: pepper, diane, mushroom, creamy garlic (gf) or gravy. And mustard on the side if you wish: hot English, seeded, dijon or horseradish.
Our chicken schnitzels are rated top 10 in Brisbane.
A 300g housemade crumbed chicken breast, served with chips and salad. Add one of our toppers to take the schnitzel to the next level.

- Texan – housemade BBQ sauce, crispy bacon and cheese

Our barramundi is deliciously enclosed in our house made XXXX beer batter. Served with chips, salad and housemade tartare sauce on the side. Also available daily on our lunchbox menu. Or try our fall off the bone 1/2 rack of BBQ pork ribs. Order the combo 250g Rump + ribs and you won’t leave hungry….
Crisp, hot chips on the side, done perfectly.
People rave about our hot chips. Crunchy on the outside, soft and fluffy potato on the inside. For dipping, choose between our housemade garlic aioli or the tried and true tomato sauce. Or order up a plate of crispy potato wedges, with a serving of sweet chili and sour cream on the side.

Our indoor bistro dining room has a modern, comfortable feel. Booths are stylishly decorated olive green. Tables and seating are a dark mocha, complimenting the grey and natural tones. Overall, the feeling is welcoming and relaxed.

A new addition to The Rocklea Hotel is our alfresco dining space. It’s designed for all year, outdoor dining, day or night. Covered with a shade sail: heated for warmth during the winter months; ambient music on play: and equipped with TV’s to catch all the live sports action. It’s the ideal open space to hang out with friends, have a few drinks and a laugh or two. It’s also where we hold many of our private functions like birthday, end of year and Christmas parties. We encourage families to dine with us day, night, mid-week and weekends. Kids especially love the booth seating. And we offer a kids menu with all their favourites including chicken nuggets, battered fish and spaghetti bolognaise. Plus a Paddle Pop ice cream, if you’d like to treat them…
